In the News: Intensive Behavioral Therapy Making Big Differences for Autism
Today I saw a very interesting and hopeful link posted in one of the Yahoo homeschool group's emails. It was actually titled "Kids Overcoming Autism", and referred to a story on the Los Angeles news last night. Here is the link to that news story.
A newly-completed study shows that 43% of the children in this therapy showed dramatic improvement in autism tendencies. To me, this story rings of such hope to so many families! Because of the wonderful difference we see in struggling readers, including autistic students, who take our Intensive Phonics course, this intensive behavioral therapy sounds as if it could have some additional answers. What do you think of this news story? Do you know any more about the CARD group?
