Sometimes we get calls from people asking where they can access our reading program in a public setting. It happened that one of the calls was from the Bronx yesterday, and I told her about the New York Public Library System endorsing and using our program. Here is an email from Ken English, their director, that just happened to be sent this morning to our company regarding an article in the New York Times.
Dear Family, Colleagues, and Friends,
Here's a glimpse of the work that goes on at New York Public Library to help adults learn to read and write. I'm inspired everyday by the dedication of the students, volunteer tutors and staff who work together to nurture success, hope, and the joy that learning brings. Literacy is an essential element of life in our society. Click on the link below to a story that appears in today's New York Times to find out what it means to those who choose to make a difference and live the Library's mission to "Inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our communities".
