The New ELEVATE Workbook
Nora Lubecki
This book is so much better for my adult ESL students than the old free printable handouts: pictures & language fit better with older students.) The lessons are more concise and cover some of the lessons that were left out before. A new feature is practice lessons with the Most Common Words, including a long reading paragraph and some comprehension or spelling exercises.

If you are still using the 2010 student workbook, it does not go in the order of the NEW updated ELEVATE. This 2017 workbook has renamed and arranged the lessons to be in a much better learning sequence. I have found that many written exercises help reinforce what students are learning on the software, and it is something we can do together as a class. I have taken some of the lessons and made them into dictation games. Even if the students did them before, the listening and speaking aligns the lesson more with the CCR Standards, especially English Language Proficiency Standards.
